I plan on buying a set of Hella 4000 Halogen (i wish i could afford the motorsport version but those things are $$$$$)
I was wondering what beam pattern to use
I compete in TSD's or Road Rallys and I am looking for a good beam pattern to use
the choices are
Euro Beam
Euro Beam with City Light
Pencil Beam
Cornering Beam
I'm leaning toward the cornering beam since that give a wide dispersment with light and also a long dispersment too, but I want advice from those who have used them or are going to use them
Thanks

if it was my choice i'd go with the cornering beam :)
and then i'd add another set more direct beam later :)

That's what the plan is for now
Go with a cornering beam for now, then get either the pencil or driving later on for more light straight ahead

Sorry, but I gotta disagree with all replies here. I've used all Hella patterns for both performance and TSD rally -- used to be sponsored and had 6 lamps mounted. If you're going to mount only one pair of lamps, it should be the Euro beam pattern -- BY FAR the most useful under almost all conditions. After that it would be either the pencil for distance or cornering for tight stuff.

yeah i am going to have to agree with Rio on this one. The Euro is an all around great light as opposed the other lights are very specifeic as to what they can and cant do.

Oops...I was calling the cornering beam the euro beam, i just got them confused is all
But I do plan on going with the euro
BTW, what is the driving light option on the euro?
