I don't get Speed Channel (curse ATT basic cable!) and haven't seen any WRC events in some time. So I was wondering, is Toshihiro Arai still on the Subaru WRC Team? I know about the big Richard Burns betrayal and Tommi Makkinen's less-than-stellar performance, but I haven't heard anything about Arai. Any clue?

He is not one of Suby's FIA nominated ( two )drivers/cars for all of the 14 rally's. Last I saw him was stalling out of rally deutschland in stage ~3. His car was perfect aesthetically, I even got under it to examine for chassis/suspension damage but it looked clean. Haven't seen him since. Was he in Perth this year?

not sure. I know that he hasnt been around for much of the events lately. He is probably still their # 1 guy in the Asian/ Pacific Championship.

Subaru wouldnt give Marko a full season...Ford would. Arai seemed to have a way of getting the Impreza on its roof all the time. It takes real talent to do that. I have Arai's model "Spike Subaru" here on my desk.......I should display it on its roof.
