Does anybody know where to get a S401( legacy sti ) front bumper is the US. They look awsome, and I can't find any aftermarket bumpers that even compare to the look.

go to LegacyGT.com and search on body kits... theres a thread out there with a whole list of links to japanese websites w/ aeroparts and the like.

have you tried www.japanparts.com? they'll export from japan, but it'll cost you four fingers and a big toe. i've ordered from them before and it'll be a bit pricey now since the usdollar is dropping

If i drop 50 bucks on a stupid little cap, i'm gonna damn well put it in my list.

But i agree it does absolutly nothing.
Thanks for crushing my dreams and mocking my mod list. :)

ok, but seriously...

I wasn't necessarily bashing. I just thought it was funny. As long as you're not one of those guys who thinks it adds 5hp or w/e.

This gave me a good laugh. Thanks. Great way to start the day of a final.

Gotta love e-bay. To get max hp, you have to place the stickers in certain spots. either 1) on the hood (vertacally if there are multiple) 2) bottoms of the drivers side length of the car (only multiple stickers can go here and must be placed like such: / / / / / [diagnols]) 3) on the tiny ass window behind the passenger doors. 4) the infamous WINDSHIELD sticker, placed at the top of the windshield so anyone coming at you can read it.

Just doing my civic (no pun intended) duty.

do you know how to get a hold of them.

I sent an email to 5Zigen USA to see if they are able to get parts from K2 Gear through 5Zigen International Inc(Japan). I think what b4rsk84 meant to say is that 5Zigen International Inc is an authorized distributor of K2 Gear parts, so this may be a good avenue to try and get the bumper to the states...once it is released.

I'll keep you all updated as to their response.

US BE/BH's body should be wider than JP model. However, some people in Japan have US bumber on JP model.

Well, I got a respone from 5zigenUSA today, but for some reason they think I'm a company looking to sell K2 Gear stuff...heres the email:

"Thank you for your inquiry.

5Zigen International, our headquarter in Japan is a distributor for K2 Gear
and then we are able to carry its product to the US market.

Could you please provide us more detail on what you're interested in.
so that we'll quote you for them. In the meantime, we would like you to
fax us a copy of your business license and tax ID.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Best Regards,

Masa Goda
5Zigen USA,INC."

I'll look more into this next week, stay tuned.

I replied with the following:

Dear Mr. Goda,

You have provided a favorable response, and I thank you for your time.

I do, however, think there has been a mis-communication. I am in charge of a not-for-profit organization for Subaru enthusiasts. Although I believe there is much profit to be made off of the product, I would much rather see the availability of items from K2 Gear in the United States without adding middle-men to increase the cost of such a product. Also, if I did register a business and provide a business certificate I would be doubtful to meet your minimum order requirements.

Based on your response, I assume that 5Zigen USA only provides products to registered distributors in the United States, and not to individual consumers. Would it be possible to organize a group buy of 5-10 people to pay at once for the item in order to deal with 5ZigenUSA directly, and not go through a distributor? If not, I assume I will need to talk to an authorized distributor for your company. If this is the case, I would appreciate details on such a distributor.

For reference, the product that we are interested in can be viewed at http://www.k2k2.jp/news01.htm . This is an S401 replica front bumper for the Subaru Legacy. Based on my limited knowledge of Japanese, I gather that the version to fit revision A-C(similar to USDM design) is still under development. Through various contacts, I believe that I can organize at least 5 people to purchase this product from K2Gear through 5Zigen.

I apologize if I was not clear before and look forward to your continued interest. It is much appreciated.

With best regards,

b4rsk84

Sorry, my word was not enough.
S401 A~C type has already been released, not under development.
