Down pipe Q???

Down pipe Q???
I just bought an sti and I use to have wrx and I was wondering if my vishnu catted downpipe would work? Some one told me that it might not clear the fire wall? Just curious if any one has had this problem Thanks

It has the cat with a bypass tube on it that my local shop says won't fit because its to wide. This is an older exhaust before the sti was out.
