I don't know where to post this, but my car's got a weird problem. When I have ~1/8th a tank of gas left according to the guage, my empty light comes on. The cars an 05 WRX wagon with ~9000 miles on it. Anyone have this problem or heard of it?

Try this:
When the light comes on, fill up as soon as you can. If you put in about 12-14 gallons, I'd say that the gage or sender has issues.
When the light comes on in my '05 STi, the gage reads near empty, and takes about 13-14 gallons to fill up.

Thanks, I think what happened is that I sloshed the tank when it was about 1/8th full, so the light came on...and doesn't turn off until you refill again. The tank after the problem happened, it didn't happen again so I think it's ok.
