Alright, well I came up with an idea for a gift for my dad. He always loved the audio done to my car from a friend so I figgured I would barrow his car before x-mas time and get soem great high end and mid range speakers installed in his car along with an amp. I have alrady upgraded his car with a 6cd changer from a wrx (the old headunit was such crap!). BUt now my problem is finding speakers that will fit his car. Anyone have ideas?
Also, I am a little bit of an audio n00b. A friend did my car as a favor so I rely don't know what a good set of mid and high end speakers would be. If you guys have suggestions on that also. that would be great.

This should help you out in finding what fits.

As for good speakers, I've been out of the audio loop for so long now, I don't know.

Crutchfield is a great place.

I usualy go with Poineer speakers when I just need new speakers, not when im "building a system" tho. There speakers have been great to me in the past.

They are pretty effecient so they work good with factory radio's or just power from a headunit.

Finding speakers that actually fit in a subaru... thats a whole different story. Depth is usually a problem
