Falken Azenis Sports in rain, Good or bad?
Hey i might be getting some wheels with falken azenis sports tires. I want to know first hand experience how these tires handle in the rain??? I currently have bridgestone potenza RE750's and they're awesome in the rain. Any comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Depends on wear. When they were new my Azenis's were OK in the rain. When they were worn close to the wear bars they were scarry in the rain. Just a little water and I would be sliding.
My experience with the Azenis is that they're fine on wet pavement, but hydroplane easily on standing water. I'd recommend a different tire if you're expecting to drive in rain more than a few times a year.

^^^ Exactly. Azenis sports are fine on wet pavement but they are about as bad as street tires get in actual standing water. If these are your only wheels, might want to pass for another 3-4 months, but if you have alternatives, snag them. They're wonderful dry tires, as grippy as anything out there for the street.
i thought my azenis were actually better than what people said in the rain. they are by no means a tire that you can go like past 80 on in the rain but they wont hydroplane you across the freeway. they pretty much feel like a bald set of stock tires in the rain. but it doesnt really rain in my area though.

The Azenis Sports (and BFG Kds for that matter) don't suck on wet pavement. They suck when there's actual standing water, even as little as 1/8"-3/16". The rain grooves on them just aren't very good, especially if the tires are worn at all.

yea they really arent that bad even when its raining out. i was trying to test them and i went and was trying to hang some turns in a parking lot and they didnt really slide that much. I agree tho in a some what deep pudle they might be pretty bad, but i have been driving them all through this rainy season and they have been fine, just dont push it and you will be ok.

wow not bad...i might just keep these tires on the rims i'm getting and sell my 6-spokes with the potenza re750's then. I don't drive like an idiot in the rain anyways.....

I only got about 9500 miles out of my Azenis Sports. Rotated them every 2500 miles. No AutoCross or Track, just spirited street driving.
