Hey guys i'm planning on getting a Seibon OEM CF hood soon. I read the other threads about fitment. I was wondering do any of you use hood pins? I really hate the thought of using hood pins. I was wondering if the hood latch is strong enough to drive without hood pins.

Any CF or FRP hood need hood pins. Sooner or later it WILL open in your face at high speed. More so with lower quality hoods.

Any one have a Seibon hood and are NOT using hood pins? Does it feel like the latch is gonna break off?

yes you should put hood pins on.....the thread holes for the stock latch is smaller than the stock hoods :eek: basically your going to have to find new bolts. thats what i'm doing right now :( good thing i already have hood pins also.

i personally dont like the hood pin look. but for safety purposes i'll put them on. its a small price to pay then having my windshield bashed in.

Plus, if the cop asks you to pop your hood, you can always say you lost the key, haha. ;)
