ok , who the heck can cut my key for me? home depot, lowes, hechingers etc. are out.......i guess a locksmith?

A Subaru dealer should be able to do it since the 04 STi's came with that key.
Most decent locksmiths should also be able to do it.
Why is Home Depot out? That's where I got mine done and so did many others. HD can do it as long as they have the newer style machine, when I had mine done the guy was very cool and didn't even charge me.

dunno, dude at depot said that they can only cut Axxess brand keys, machines weren't set up for it........thats what he told me, but whatever, i'll try the locksmith in Reston.

Take your key code (the I believe 4 number digit that came on a little piece of metal on your spare keys) Take that in and they will cut the key to that number.

the dealership has cut 2 keys for me (STi Key and Legacy Key) for no charge...just bring in your original and they will take care of it for you.

the dealership has cut 2 keys for me (STi Key and Legacy Key) for no charge...just bring in your original and they will take care of it for you.just called dealerships and ofcourse Paul bros of Herndon are once again no help, they want to charge like $3 per key, but Dulles Subaru said they'll do it no charge since i bought from them, but the problem is thier damn hours are impossible for me
open only when i am going to work and at work.....looks like a locksmith it is.
