awsome vid, but wasnt that a regular jdm sti? i thought the spec c comes with a cf spoiler and lip, and it has 325bhp not 280. either way cool vid

anybody else notice that the rally car has a wrx hood scoop and not a sti i mean i know a sti is more drag and the rally car has a fmic(sorta). But i would have never thought they would put that on the rally car..just wanted to see if anyone else noticed.

AFAIK, on WRC Impreza, the hoodscoop is used for air intake.

how come they use prodrive suspension? i thought they used ohlins? no? i may be wrong

so sweet...... but on the subject of the Spec C, it comes with the US spec WRX wing, not the tall STi kind and the one in the vid(white) was a Spec C, the main thing about the Spec C is some suspension changes and more bhp that the JDM spec STi (300bhp vs 280hp) but less (through the RPm ranges) than the USDM STi

Petter is not known for driving on the hard stuff, he's more of a loose surface driver. Now, pitting Sebastian Loeb against Tsuchiya, that would be something to watch.

but although petter is not great at tarmac he still has to drive and be good at it. tsuchiya may do touge but it isnt his life style. i still say solberg would win, just cause he his work is the wrc.

and rich i think i would like to know both situations with and without co-drivers.

what? the Spec C comes with the carbon fiber S202 wing. it's also 300lbs lighter. then the other imprezas. has roof vent, no A/C. bigger (12 liter) water tank for i/c sprayer that's mounted in the trunk. and other goodies

Solberg was obviously taking it easy in the road car. It didn't appear to have a roll cage or any other safety equipment.
Funniest part was the little japanese guy getting all excited about the big wing.
