I have a 2003 OBS and a Thule Evolution box on the stock cross bars.

My rear wind shield wiper water dispense hits the box when I open the hatch and also restricts the hatch from opening 100%.

I want avoid breaking the water dispenser at least.

Here are the two solutions I've found, which would you do?


1. Get the Thule Cross bars that will lift the box higher and hopefully clear the hatch to open 100% and not hit the water dispenser anymore. Cost will probably be around $150 or more.

2. Get a rear dust deflector for $70 and have that protect the water dispenser. This will still restrict opening the hatch 100% but it's cheaper.
