Anybody using the Borla headers with their RS-T? Did you have a support bracket welded on to take some of the weight of the up pipes, down pipes and turbo off of the header? Are you using a heat wrap on it or did you get it coated with something?
Oh yah any noticeable gains from it? HP or torque gains only. I don't care if its louder or not.

IIRC Shiv or SPD or somebody either had a bracket or was working on it. Don't know for sure though, but the truth is out there...

ludespeed has a bracket that comes with the kits which supports the turbo on the uppipe flange, i thought that was enough to hold the headers too.
maybe ask Tom at ludespeed for more info on that.

I am trying out a BETA set from a company in Canada that will work with RS-T's. Hoping to have them this week for trying out. I will let you knwo how it goes.

you'll spool about 200-300rpm later due to the larger piping, but you'll feel them in the top end. I had them before I had the turbo, and as soon as I put them on you can feel it from about 3600rpm to redline...with the turbo i honestly don't know how much of a difference there is in feel, but the spool info was based off of other RS-T's with borlas. I don't have a bracket welded, or wrapped/coated.

p.s., we still installing your list of parts in january?
Yep the big install is still planned for Jan. I'm probably going to get a bracket made to support it all. Somebody I used to live by in Maryland has a metal shop and is willing to just make me a bracket to support it. I've got to get a connection added for a EGT and a A/F ratio anyways.

could u get some pics of the bracket when you get it made?
I'm waiting until the snow stops and I get some free time to have a local shop make the bracket. So far I've been qouted everything from $50 to add a bracket all the way up to $140 for the bracket.

Skywalker,
Please keep us posted on that set up. I am curious. Both spool up and top end improvements.

Is it the generation plastics place that was advertising equal length header for the RS?

Rallitek Performance is the only vendor selling the headers. Generation Plastics (GPMoto) is exclusively manufacturing now.
Headers are in stock. They only fit WRX(or any ej20t). They will not fit RS.

We are running Borla header with our AVO Turbo kit. Spool up is actually improved from the factory manifolds. The header provides velocity at lower rpm and improved flow at higher rpm. AVO has brackets to support turbo on both up and down pipes. so, stress/cracking will not be a problem. We are not using heat wrap nor is the header coated.
