rattling sound under car

rattling sound under car

Whenever i idle, i hear a rattling sound coming from under my car. I have no idea what it is. Im taking my car to Carlsen tomorrow for maintenance and I will tell them to check it out. But when they get under my car and see my exhaust, will they deny repair? Im thinking its just a loose bolt or something since its a rattle but better safe than sorry. Any ideas or comments?

i have that same problem, sometimes if its cold it seems to happen more. its a metal on metal sound right? i had my car on the lift and looked for everything that could be loose and found nothing. it still makes the sound every once in a while. good luck

my03 does the same thing..i checked and found nothing but i blame the heatsheilds-good luck

I have an 02, with a buschur exhaust, I hear the rattle sometimes, I checked it out and found that the hanger bolts were a little loose, the reason for this, told to me by a local speed shop, is because of the larger piping. I tell my wife that and I get slapped, and my car all I need is an adjustable wrench. something to think about hmmmmmmmmm
