Question What's are the Best OEM 4pot brake pads under $100?

I've seen quite a few pads that are cheaper than the OEM 4 pot pads and was wondering which ones were the best for street and occational track use.

The pad's i seen are hawk, porterfield, and EBC are all under 1 bill and seem to be good choices.

I've heard good and bad things about the porterfield pads.

Hawk pads seem to be pretty good, but i do not know too much about them.

The EBC's eat rotors to my understanding.

If I had more money i'd get some Bozz speed stuff because they're so close to my home and have excelent performance.

I guess its hard say who's the best because i haven't tried any of them.

thanks

Axxis Ultimates - you can get from Stoptech at like $59 for just the 4pots. Not a bad deal, I have them on my car and I like them.

Are these the OEM ones? I've heard the OEM pads dust like crazy.

what you were looking for. I thought you were looking for aftermarket pads better than OEMs for the 4pots and for under $100.

The PFC stands for Performance Friction Corp.

In terms of OEM pads for the 4pots, you have the standard pads and the more aggressive pink STi pads. The pink pads are definitely more than $100.

I've heard the Pink pads eat the rotors like the EBC's, oh well.

Well since everyone voted for other I'd like to know what other pad's are there for the oem 4 pots that are under 100.

thanks

I haven't tried any aftermarket pads yet, but am leaning towards the Axxis Metal Master pads for street use. For your purposes, Axxis Ultimate might be the way to go. Axxis pads were formerly known as Repco.

The pink pads do eat up the rotors pretty quick. I have a set at home but never use them all that often. I use the stock STI pads that come with the calipers as they do not eat rotors alive. But I will say that the Pink pads definitely have a lot of copper in the compound and stop really well.

I think the porterfields are over rated. Everyone I've talked to says they're ok, but that they're more hype than anything else.
