intakes are never pointless. a car needs air. whether you want to spend more money on an aftermarket one or utilize the stock one is totally up to you with the wrx. from everything i've seen, as far as dyno's and people's feedback, the stock intake does very well under normal boost conditions. if you plan on pushing 18+ psi, then you may want to look into an aftermarket intake. and yes, the turbo spooling is much louder. so is the bov.

no downsides, wish i could put it back on because I am having problems with my blitz sus, but i need it for my front mount intercooler.

I don't really have anything to trade you for the spoiler, unless you want a PSM RS hood, with a slight dent in the front. So how much you really want for it? I guess I could offer $20, but I think thats a little low.:p

Its a single stage controller.....dial in the boost that you want with one dial, on/off switch on the other.
