Yes, they should fit the '04 5 speed manual gearbox just fine. I don't think that they are compatible with the 6 speed in the STi though.

Keep in mind if you opt for the shifter bushings (highly suggested) since they are much harder than stock, a little NVH will be transmitted along the shifter linkage. Not a lot but you may or maynot notice it. It does improve the feel of shifting though. I noticed it less with the Forester than I did with my Impreza but I think the forester has better sound proofing.

Hey Dave, I'm thinkina bout picking up some hangers from you for my '03 wrx sedan. I just put on a Perrin system and I'm getting some rattling around the center section. You think I need the extra long hangers or the normal ones to keep it tight against the car? Thanks.

If you are trying to eliminate side to side clearance then you will probably want the regular length hangers. If you need more clearance vertically then you will want the longer hangers. I hope that makes sense... :)

Dave, I believe the issue is that the pipe hangs just a bit below the chassis and under certain conditions, the vibrations knock the pipe up into the car creating this rattling. Would it be better to have the tighter hangers to keep the pipe against the car or the long ones to keep it stiff but away from the car a bit more? I think it's a vertical clearance issue. Hope that makes sense :)

The install is pretty straightforward. A great place to start if you plan on doing any modifications to your Impreza is http://www.Scoobymods.com
Look for the Kartboy section and you will find installation instructions with pictures for the shifter and bushings.

I have an 03 WRX runnuing an Helix DP and Invidia catback. I can hear the exhaust at times bouncing around. Do you recommend the long or shor hangers for this application?

If you need to reduce side to side movement the regular length hangers are the way to go. If the exhaust is hitting the bottom of the car the longer hangers will help with that. You don't want to run the long hangers if you don't need to because it will reduce the clearance between the exhaust and the ground increasing the likelihood of bottoming out the exhaust.

Does Kartboy shifter bushings work on my 96 ????I actually have a stock RS shifter in there with a motified lower ball (bigger to fit linkage for 96) if that makes a difference.

I3eXa, I'm don't think that they will fit pre '97 cars. Even if the shifter lever is newer, the bushings are probably still the older style (pre '97). Sorry I don't have a better answer for you! :)

Both the long and the short hangers will reduce side-to-side movement of the exhaust. However, if you need more space on the top side of the exhaust, then you will want the longer hangers. :)
