That guy has no *****, he's subverting his latent homoerotic tendencies behind a facade of homophobia and political rhetoric.
He's also a ****ing tool that doesn't understand that people should have the ability to spend their life and their communal wealth with whoever they goddamn choose.
It might not be somebody's individual choice to have an alternate sexual preference, but they have no right to tell others how to live. C'mon, the way stuff is currently, someone can't see a loved one/partner in a hospital if the hospital has restricted it to family and spouse. They can't get benefits, etc.
No matter what you beleive about sexual preference, no matter whether the "gay marriage" tag sets you off becuase you think it's supposed to be a sacred rite, you've got to admit that **** is screwed up.
Besides, sanctity of marriage? Bull****. What's the divorce rate these days? Sanctity my ***.
Sorry. Bugs me, in case you couldn't tell

however, when it comes to medical benefits, it's been my experience that it is the straight couples that are at a disadvantage. in my company, a man and a woman that are partners but not married cannot get benefits, but a gay couple can (because they cannot be married). IMHO, either let gay couples get married, or allow straight un-married couples the same benefit coverages.

I just don't get why that is.
Because gay marriage laws are all screwy. Legislators pass wierd laws to appease constitutents, and they don't always mesh up.
Also, forgive me if I am incorrect, but I believe that all the 'gay marriage benefit laws' had to be re-worded to include un-married couples that live together, regardless of gender. Either way, these rights are only about 1/4 - 1/3 of the rights married couples have.

I thought that if your company had domestic partner laws they couldn't make it be only for f/f or m/m, but had to open it for m/f couples as well. That's how my company is anyway. Josey is covered under my benefits because she is my "intended life partner"
We used to have a contractor here that told us about how her (at the time) boyfriend needed benefits, and a guy she worked with had a gf who needed benefits. So this contractor and her coworkers gf pretended to be lovers, while the coworker and the contractors boyfriend pretended to be lovers and they were able to cover each other under the domestic life partner benefits
kenny: I saw that ****ers truck on the way in to work this morning.

Wrong, right thats all relative. If it goes against your beliefs then don't support it.
