has anyone used an sti wing on a wrx trunk? if so, do you really need those two extra mounting holes, or is the regular mounting spots enough, because i really dont look forward to drilling into my trunk. thanks

If I recall correctly, the stock STi wing has 10 mounting points as opposed to the four points on a stock WRX wing. Your best bet is to just trade trunks, wing and all, with someone who is willing. It's better than drilling and patching back and forth.

When/if you trade, remember to trade the lock/latch mechanism and the springs as well.

wow so you think there are 10 mounting points?? yea i guess i should trade then. i just thought the sti wing had like 6 or so holes needed and the 2 missing bolts would be fine. now i need to find someone who will trade me with my wrb trunk.

actually i lied Ryan, there were 2 more bolts underneath the bumpstops on the corners of the trunk, so that makes it 12 holes =P

D'oh, there's TWELVE (12) mounting holes!!!! :eek:
