This past Sunday marked the first food drive/cruise event for HIIC.
The cruise was put together with one main purpose- to bring Subaru Enthusiasts together and donate food to one of our local charities... the Hawaii Food Bank (http://www.hawaiifoodbank.org/index.htm)
The event began at 9:30 a.m. (hawaiian time) ;) and ended at around 6 p.m.
The cruise started out at Kakaako Waterfront Park (http://www.sites4you.net/jojopics/Kakaako/)
and headed up to the world famous Tantalus Drive.
From there we headed towards the Hawaii kai Boat Harbor.. and then from there
to the world renowned Sandy Beach. Then From there we passed through
Waimanalo and stopping for our lunch and food drop off site at HHP-Kailua.
Let say that it was a true blessing to have all the Subarus there in one day-
HIIC donated over 530 lbs worth of food! I sure had a fun time delivering all that food myself the next day! :p.
the event started out with around 40 commited drivers then fininshing off our cruise of die hard 12 at the beautiful North Shore for our final drive.
