sorry that was my friend...we're having an arguement about whether it's real or not. He doesn't think it is...so is it or not?

It is "carbon fiber look". At least it was back in 2002, so I assume it's the same for the 2003 models.

If you look in to it and it doesn't trip you out, then its not real CF. Real CF has a layered appearance behind a laminate, because thats how its made, CF look on the other hand, is usually just painted on using various shades of silver and grey
