Hi, I"M considering a '98 or '99 2.5RS and I was wondering about the maintence costs for like a clutch replacement, timing belt, tune up. I never owned a Subaru before so I just want to find out if they're expensive to maintain. Is there anything I should look for when checking out the car? Are there any known problems is 98-99 Impreza RS? I owned a 95 Talon TSi previously and it was a money pit. So hopefully you guys can shed some light on the Impreza for me. Appreciate the help.

i don't think they are expensive to maintence, just like any other car

but the 98 2.5 rs has some gasket problems.

when checking out the car, check for rust if you live in a cold area, leaks, brakes, clutch
test drive n see how it drives and runs.
