I am not going to play the political game here. More so interested in people's take on this... sort of plays into the phony Rambo's who run around with medals gig.

"Texas delegate Pat Peale wears a bandaid with a purple heart on it on her chin during the first day of the Republican National Convention in New York August 30, 2004. Democrats and Democratic National Committee (news - web sites) Chairman Terry McAulliffe reacted angrily after seeing Peale on national television appearing to mock the Purple Heart ribbons awarded to Democratic presidential nominee Senator John Kerry (news - web sites) in Vietnam. Peale was quoted as saying she had gotten a purple heart earlier in the day 'swimming a river I think it was.' REUTERS/Robert Galbraith"

People are stupid...Thats all I have to say. I would think Salty would take issue to this because she is also tarnishing all the people who did serve and get their purple hearts in combat. Can't have it both ways.

You hit the nail on the head!

It was funny for about 5 minutes when we all knew these band-Aids were a slap in the face to Kerry's PH's blah blah blah. We all got the joke and had a good chuckle but the fact she's gone the extra step to make a bandage with a PH is a mockery to those that've (unfortunately) earned the PH.

There's nothing patriotic about this just as there's nothing patriotic about wearing a piece of clothing that represents the flag.

thi sis much worse then a flag button up shirt...

this pisses me off to no end. It is a slap in the face if you ask me, one that should not be tolerated.

Funny how the guy who gave out all the band aids has very close ties to Rove.

Who would have thunk it?
