My puny civic felt like an S2000 when I drove it whilst I wore the helmet. NOT...

I put the pics on whilst I was in high school, now I'm in UNI I can see how dorky it may look to some...oh well, who cares...I still love my trusty civic...its just that my WRX has so much more oomph...

Does anyone know where I can get a sticker (HAHA) that goes over the top part of the visor. U know, like the ones the CART drivers have....

nah, I'm not fussed abt my helmet stickers...its just that some guys have said "love the helmet, not crazy abt the stickers"...probably cos they drive a Hyundai Accent haha.

Colin, nice helmet...the design looks cool.

My next helmet, probably will be an Arai or perhaps a Shoei...and I might get a custom design put on...maybe with a little chrome..

Geez, I cant believe so ppl have posted their helmets....with the number of ppl saying they go Auto X'ing etc etc, I was guessing a whole buncha ppl would at least have pics....

Actually, abt getting the stickers custom made...I tried ONE place and they said it too difficult to get the shape right...I'll prob just try some other places...

Ppl, it dont matter if the helmets are old or even if ur face is IN the helmet...just post it!

DV, as far as I know, no one really separates the bike and car helmets...but I'd hazard to guess that any helemt good enuff for a bike rider, should be good enuff for a car driver!

That Bieffe helmet looks pretty nice, u just need to buy an extra visor...one way, reflective plastic!

I'm still partial to Arai or Shoei though...

actually motorcyle helmets are designed for one major impact, whereas a car is designed for many smaller impacts, like you'd experiance in a roll over as your helmet would come into contact with the cage, pillar, etc..
the motorcycle helmets are designed to save you in the event of dumping the bike and your head hitting the concrete and bouncing maybe 1 or 2 times, but that first major impact is what they are designed for. So yes, there is a difference. In automotive racing *I* personally would wear a automotive specific design vs a motorcyle design.
Also some motorcycle helmets are only DOT approved and not snell approved.

dunno how karts work :p I'm only familiar with motorcycle and automotive app's. those karts are their own creature as far as i'm concerned. ;)

That huge crack was from an enormous hailstone that I hit while driving near 170mph in the.......actually, it's just a reflection of the chandelier above my dining table. Sorry :)

damn, i wish i'd taken pics of all the helmets that i've retired. currently i only own something like three arais, down from a high of five or so. my current street lid is an arai quantum f colin edwards replica in red.

the last one that got retired i drilled a hole through the top with a 1/2" drill bit. it's amazing how tough those things are. i tried to smash another retired on with a 12lb sledgehammer, but didn't have much luck.
