Makinen needs a good finish and lets hope Solberg is up there too!!
Only time will tell...dang I wish we could see it the same day!
Here are the winners from 2002:
1 Tommi Makinen
2 Sébastien Loeb
3 Carlos Sainz
Soup Nazi 01-22-2003, 03:07 PM Have you seen the new wing on the Monty Impreza ? It looks rediculous, but if it helps win rallys I will start loving it and put one on my car
Rallychic 01-22-2003, 03:09 PM Yep I saw that in another post somewhere...it isn't pretty to say the least. I just hope the car is more reliable this year!! ;)
X1_SRT 01-22-2003, 06:05 PM yeah, definetly a funky design. but it must have some obvious benefits to the car. and yeah, lets hope the new car doesn't have any bugs to be worked out during the season. start out strong, and finish strong. its Petters year!!

Check out the pictures from Recces....snow baby!!!
Soup Nazi 01-23-2003, 04:54 PM The latest rally Impreza looks like a Honda with a piece of farm equipment on the trunk. Last years headlights were better too. I hope the car is really fast because it will be hard for me to route for something this funky looking.
X1_SRT 01-23-2003, 06:57 PM As usual the car looks like no other car out there. which is something i feel Subaru's are known for. i don't really understand the honda light reference. but o well. i think the car is pretty sweet, just b/c it is different. i think it will look pretty darn good sitting in the winners circle this year!!

go go go 01-24-2003, 06:09 AM geez, that wing!
Look at the mirrors too, it's a lot edgier and smaller.
X1_SRT 01-24-2003, 07:36 AM Makinen and Solberg both out!!! makinen goes off the road in ss5 and can't get back on, while solberg damages his radiator after going off. and whats with gronholm leading.... the guy says how much he hates the course, and it's not a test of driving skill. and now he leads by 37 sec. this is going to be an interesting race.

Rallychic 01-24-2003, 08:17 AM So...after stage 5

Well at least there is only one pug in the top 3...;)
Dang...our poor Subaru..nice start to the year....
go go go 01-24-2003, 01:06 PM Peugeot & Citroen = same company.
PSA dominates all top 5!
and 6 out of top 7.
Rallychic 01-24-2003, 02:37 PM So go, go, go..I have to ask..what does you title mean??
Rallychic 01-25-2003, 10:20 AM Ok..just checked things out for leg 2
Here is how they stand:
Loeb
Mcrae
Sainz
Martin
Burns
Robert
Kresta
Duval
So it looks like they are done for today..so more tomorrow!!
Kilika 01-25-2003, 02:07 PM Dang it, Citroen has the Top 3, a Ford, and theres still three other Pugs in the points. How come they have so many cars??? Even without Granholm and Panizzi, they still make some significant points.
Rallychic 01-25-2003, 04:33 PM They can only have three drivers that are eligible for points...they could be a privateer..so I don't know how that will work in the points set up??

Andy...
Swedish Rally is next 6th-9th of Feb....
Rallychic 01-26-2003, 11:11 AM That is great!!
Sainz proved that he still has it....after all that doubt of him not getting a ride until the last minute!!!
Nice to see no Pugs in the top 3 ;)
Soup Nazi 01-26-2003, 03:43 PM El Matador will score points in almost every rally. I wish I had seen him when he was in his prime with Toyota
HomerJay 01-27-2003, 08:43 PM OMG! :o Citroen owns the WRC. They might have the best team in the WRC. If they had a better car, they might win every race.
-JOE
PS. With Tommy retiring in a year, we should steal Sebastian Loeb.
Soup Nazi 01-28-2003, 05:59 PM Citroen always does well on tarmac, I want to see if they have improoved on all the other terrain.
HomerJay 01-28-2003, 07:38 PM Well like I said, they have all the talent in the world, just not the car. Think of that lineup in a Scooby.

I'm sorry...I know that not everyone has it, but I just wanted to send out a reminder.
