Anybody hitting 200whp on a 2.5NA?

Hey guys,

I was wondering what has to be done to a 2.5 NA in order to get about 200WHP?
No turbo or sc --- no laugh gas.

Anybody already do this?

I have seen a few things that Cobb Tuning is doing but they have not shown any HP numbers for their build-up. Last time I looked they had not finished the article about their 2.5 motor rebuild.

There is one guy I know of specifically, but his motor keeps blowing up...

I believe Irish Mikes racing team was hitting close to 200whp if not more with their JDM N/A 2.5's.

Probably would be alot easier with alcohol instead of pump fuel of course thats just my opinion

Short answer? Everything. Aggressive cams, valvetrain upgrades, polished and maybe ported heads, higher compression, high octane gas, fine fuel and spark control, maybe even larger injectors. Honestly it wouldn't be much cheaper (if at all) than a basic EJ20 swap, but it is pretty cool.
