I took all the parts out except the rims to sell the car, but
I ended up keeping it so I'm in the process of putting the car back to like this.

I agree, I bought an '04 because it was red. I thought I would see more but I have never seen another one on the road. I see every other color. Oh well, that makes mine that much cooler. Pics are of it stock and with new wheels.

Painted skirts make the car look so much better. I had mine done by a show called Kreative Customs in San Jose. Cost me $150.00. They do great work and the skirts came out flawless.

What do you use for wax? My SRR swirls so easy no matter what I use- orbital, microfiber, etc. It shines great with Zaino, Meguires Tech Wax, and Eagle one wet detailer, but looks like ass under street lights and such. The car has never seen a towel, brush, etc. aside from microfiber and it still has fine swirls and scratches in it!!!!

Lol, I traded in an 03 Mustang GT convert when I got the WRX- it was a year and a half old with 11k miles on it and had no chips in the front end or hood anywhere. The WRX is a couple of months old, has 1200 miles on it and has about a dozen chips on the front end, hood and fenders!!! Really thin paint on this thing!!!

Once I get back on track in the job area. I am gonna start a little fund to save for a real good paint job. So when my car becomes one big paint chip on wheels I'll have some cash to bring back the red dash.

My sister bought me some turtle wax for Christmas. Sorry, I don't have a recommendation in that area of car care. Yeah waxing your car is such a laborious task. And then your paint has the swirls and scratches etc. I always find some small left over wax spots I miss. Ugh.

However,

About 2 weeks ago my friend let me use his place to wash our cars (I'm at an apartment) and he used this great stuff to clean the rims. I had this spray my sister bought for me in a kit. It worked OK. But, I HIGHLY recommend Turtle wax chrome cleaner for your rims. It worked almost like magic when getting the shmutz and brake dust off and the rims looked almost like new.

I highly recommend the McGuires Tech Wax. It is awesome stuff and leaves it feeling ultra slick. Works about as well as my Zaino and costs a HELL of a lot less. It outshines Zymol in my opinion also. It is also softer than the typical paste waxes, so it doesn't scratch and swirl as easy, but still does to an extent- that is just the pain on these cars lol. I did my landlords mini for him and it came out awesome, no swirls whatsoever!!!

RainX makes a pretty good wax. you wash your car, then spray it on... I've used it a few times and its been great.

I got this one because it *WAS* red. too many blue, silver and black WRX's running around lol. I like the look of the black wheels on the car above- it was a thought for this one also, not too sure what wheels though. I used to have a set of 17" ADR Kasais in "black chrome", I inquired about them but apparently (according to ADR) it was a limited production color, so I am sol with that option lol..

edit- I only included the console pic because I have seen various questions here and there about what the 05 console looked like.

Nice, I considered the wagon for the price savings, but a 4 door was a big enough step for me lol.. Stupid question- every WRX I have seen has the "premium package", so I haven't been able to compare, but what is the difference?

The premium package comes with a wing and moon roof and a few other things like heated mirrors / seats (I think). I am not a big fan of huge wings on the trunk, but the WRX with out the subtle wing looks naked to me.

OK, yeah mine has all of the above. I thought it was odd to have heated seats with anything but leather- but like any other "unecessary" option on cars- you use it all the time :).

Here WAS my new San Remo Red 2005 WRX with 67 miles on it. You see 3 days after I bought it some "elderly" woman ran into me and 2 other cars while sitting in traffic. So my brand new car has been sitting in the body shop since November 12th! I only have a few pictures of her before the accident.

One would think and she would especially be able to see the teal green Jeep Cherokee behind me. A witness told me she saw the woman before she hit us just looking out her drivers window totally oblivious to the line of 10 cars stopped in front of her.

He was my designated driver the other night. I was rolling in some serious style. His car is seriously top notch. The leather in the LGT is awesome and the heated seats are totally kick ass.

sirius i think your car is sick, looks so clean. I have a 95 red impreza LX its basically my first real car, but nothing like you guys have. Mine has 5zigen exhaust, headers, and cold air intake, also lowered 2", its got sony xplod speakers, nice pioneer headunit, and shifter knob on an auto!?!?!?! i didn't put it on. The car is nice but needs to have some touch up paint applied. It gets me where i wanna go, but i'll put pictures on as soon as i get them from my mom's camera to my computer.

the funny thing is, when i got this car it had daewoo floor mats. (dont ask me why, lol) they made me pay a extra $130 for WRX mats, god they are a rip off.

also, i just picked the mats up from my local Subaru Dealer

but for the turbo, its just a standard one

Its a '05 Legacy 2.5GT Limited. I don't have any pictures of the interior (except a pic of the gauges earlier in the thread). But, Subaru.com should have plenty of pics of the interior.

Hi folks,

Here are a couple of pics of my 04 WRX. Its been on before but I figured I would send the latest update.

I am lucky enough to finally be in a position that this car is now a dedicated SCCA Autocross car.

Got a few great sponsors, Like HANKOOK Tires using the new Ventus RS2 and Aero-Turbine, Buds muffler.com and coloradohomeseekers.com.

This is just the latest version of a work in progress.

thnx, I had to make room for my "tow-hook" ;) I just haven't gotten around to paint the fog covers i have laying around the garage, I'm just tood damm lazy, but other than that i like the unfinished look of it :D

Jeez - some of 'ya guys are really goin wacko with the photoshop "motion blur". If you're in a parking stall there should be no motion blur at all! :D Try a bigger aperture to blur the background instead. Less likely to make folks reach for the airplane style barf bag. ;)

simply and slowly peel off the badge. sometimes you can just rub your finger up and down the double sided tape and it'll glide off with enough pressure. if not. try buying some bumber sticker remover and/or goof-off. Dont put too much on but enough to soak that tape. and your good to go. Most people just tear it off, use razors and then leave it like so lol.

Do not use razors! You dont need to!
