answers will vary

and it depends on the mods that are done to your car.

me personally i would get boost, egt, and oil pressure

people that track a lot prefer oil temp over oil pressure

other people prefer fuel pressure over the oil ones.

i prefer oil pressure because i have done a lot of off roading in the past and i want to know right away if i crack something or am starting to lose pressure on a steep incline. (it has happened to me before). better to stop and get towed and fix your oil pan or whatnot then to drive unknowingly with no oil and then blow the motor and get towed and replcae the engine.

egt,oil pressure, oil temp, maybe a better water temp(stock is kinda weak, a few degrees can make a difference), ic temp(if your a racer), radar detector(if your a racer)... is a radar detector a gague? Yeah why not.

EGT is Exhaust Gas Temperature. Its useful to see if you are running lean or rich. A lot of people consider it more accurate then A/F for this use.
