I am getting a STi in a few months and am still deciding which color to pick. Right now I am leaning towards the white STi because when I had my 2002 WRX in WRB I always liked the white subaru use's on the WRX's. But before I make this decision final i had a few questions for the white STi owners out there. Since I am real picky about swirl marks that appear on paint, which on my WRB wasnt so bad but was still noticable, I was wandering if the white shows swirl marks or if they are hard to see? Also does dust show really easy? And finally does the brake dust show after one day of driving or do the Brembo's due pretty well? If someone could answer these quick questions Ill appreciate it. Thanks.

I havnt noticed paint swirl. The Brembo's get dirty pretty quickly, usually after 5 or so days they need to be cleaned. The only major downside to a white car is if you put on a catless exhaust you will have carbon (light tan) on the left side of the bumper.

Atreyu are you asking about whether the brake dust gets on the paint?

paint swirl is always there, u just cant see it. At certain angles it is noticble. just note when u wax ur car and it feels ruff, then u know u have lots of swirls. whatever car u have it has swirls. just depends whether you can see them visually, but they are there.

I drive a white 04 and i didnt wash the car for the first 4 months. and didnt give its first wax job until 10 months. after the first wash, the paint was good as new. except i had a huge black area right above my exhaust. a little brake cleaner wiped it right off. the paint chips really easily but thats the same with all subaru paints. it does get dirty easy, depending where you drive it.
