Not subie-specific, but you could also look up Custom Alignment in Mountain View. They do *very* precise work.

thanks for the input. im actualy going to try works (evo tuning in sf) they do everything except corner weighted balancing, and seem rather knowlegable..

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know where I can get my car corner balanced? I was thinking of going to Custom Alignment in Mountain View but if there is a place that does corner balancing I would rather take it there.

Thanks

I vote for "Custom Alignment in Mountain View" if you don't have the tools to do it yourself, these folks are very good. Price varies with what you want done -- I believe a full 4 Wheel with caster, camber, toe and corner weight is about $300-$400.

I gave Custom Alignment a call and this is what they quoted me. $200 for alignment ($100 for front and $100 for rear). $225 for corner balance. I asked them why their alignment costs so much compared to Wheel Works or some other alignment shop and they said that they adjust camber, caster and toe. It just seemed like they did a lot more. I am planning on getting my car aligned and corner balanced as soon as I get my coilovers installed. I will post my thoughts and impressions afterwards.

It will help, but after a while it will pay for itself if you buy the tools you need to get that done yourself. If you track the car you want this done before every event. If you just street the car, then at least once a year (mileage pending).

Scales: $1200-$1500
Caster/Camber guage: $300
Toe plates & measuring equipment: $200
Total: $1700 - $2000 (max)

So CCA is about $450 per visit
4 visits: $1800

I track my car at least 4 times a year so it was more cost effective for me to get the tools. CCA is probably a tad more accurate than what I could do, but in the real world not significant enough to notice.

That is a very good idea. I will have to think about this before going. I am planning on tracking my car so it might be better for me to purchase the tools. I might also be able to make some money corner balancing other peoples cars. Thanks V8.
