View Full Version : Cusco STI Bodykit? ppat 07-19-2004, 03:02 PM Wondering if anyone knew if they were available from anyone. I know its custom but I really want that kit. All help is appreciated. huck 07-19-2004, 07:13 PM Which kit? The front lip, splitter, and wing kit? I think Gruppe-S has them. nic3krnnamja83 07-19-2004, 08:27 PM ask the boss ppat 07-19-2004, 09:23 PM I'm talking about the kit on the suby at the top of this page. The all carbon fiber kit. Wide body. Seraph 07-19-2004, 09:46 PM Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is nobody that currently makes anything even close to that kit. Its the kit on the JGTC car as you probably know, and i'm guessing the only people that know where to get that body is cusco. I'm guessing you can expect to pay another wrx worth for it =P huck 07-19-2004, 09:49 PM I'm talking about the kit on the suby at the top of this page. The all carbon fiber kit. Wide body. Oh that CUSCO kit. That's their JGTC Impreza. All custom CF body work, rear wheel drive, fast as all hell, etc, etc. Not a kit available to the masses. http://www.jgtc.net/race/gallery/gall2003/036gallery_ph/036_30.jpg http://www.jgtc.net/race/gallery/gall2004/041gallery_ph/041_006.jpg nic3krnnamja83 07-19-2004, 11:15 PM ferdie at south coast subaru in south coast told me that he can get the fenders Choku Dori 07-20-2004, 01:10 PM The Cusco JGTC car kit is all carbon fiber. To buy it would be spend more than you spent for the Impreza, probably. It's mainly a one-off for the JGTC car anyway. But IF you do find it, let us know. I'm sure we'd be interested to see the pricing :D ppat 07-20-2004, 02:45 PM I was pretty sure I wouldn't be able to find one. Wondering if any shops can make me a custom kit. I believe c-west can. Not carbon fiber of course. Also wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of making a suby rear wheel drive. I know most of you dont want to. But for ****s and giggles can anyone help me on that too? We all need to see a wide body drift subaru. THANKS for alll your help too, very much appreciated. nic3krnnamja83 07-20-2004, 03:16 PM are you telling us you have the funds for this sort of project DanyoCantDrift 07-20-2004, 04:22 PM or you could go to jgtc in december and try to boost it...lol :P Choku Dori 07-20-2004, 05:13 PM ppat, are you trying to make a custom JGTC conversion?! BTW, I doubt that C-West would do a one-off custom kit for you. Unless of course you bought out their company on the Nikkei exchange or something ;) ppat 07-21-2004, 11:08 AM I just want mine to be rear wheel drive and I want the wide body kit. Figure the body kit will cost a lot until it gets out...unless it never does. With the rear wheel drive thing, it has to be easier then you think right. Other than all the different programing youll have to do. Choku Dori 07-21-2004, 07:12 PM Seriously ppat, I highly doubt that you'll be able to get your hands on the Cusco JGTC kit. As for RWD, run a general search on i-Club. I think some of the Hawai'i boys were talking about a RWD Impreza a while back... BTW, you don't need to be RWD to drift an Impreza. You just need the right combination of LSD's and drivetrain mods, plus ungodly amounts of power, and you can drift AWD. Believe me, I saw an issue of "Hot Version" where some maniac in a JDM STi Ver. VI Sport Wagon was drifting on Nikko Circuit. It wasn't fast and it didn't look pretty, but it was drifting nonetheless :D The funniest thing is that Tsuchiya Keiichi and Nomu-Ken dissed him afterwards and told him to go trade his Impreza for a Silvia :D Seraph 07-22-2004, 02:49 PM I dunno ryan, when you throw in enough zeros all of a sudden your car can be wider than opera after a trip to kfc. Good luck ppat, you'll be 1/1 in america if you manage to pull that off pudgyriceboy 07-22-2004, 03:41 PM rwd is possible of if you get a center diff that won't transfer any power to the front wheels, someone out there makes them, forgot who. you'd also need stronger axels and such in the back since they were only designed to take half the power. i am going to be getting that center diff soon. when it happens, i'll post it up, but until then... Plasteredcat 07-22-2004, 09:13 PM Some of the Cusco stuff is sick and one off designs . That suck but they sure do look great . Wrxneffect 07-22-2004, 10:32 PM To see how to change your suby to RWD check out the April 2004 issue of Sport Compact Car. That should get you started in the right direction. Although I know it's your car and your money but why take a car that is not made to drift and try and convert it? I say just buy a silvia and be done with it. That way you can have you AWD and your RWD. Jason Choku Dori 07-23-2004, 02:52 AM I dunno ryan, when you throw in enough zeros all of a sudden your car can be wider than opera after a trip to kfc. Good luck ppat, you'll be 1/1 in america if you manage to pull that off Rockin, it may be because I'm posting late at night, but I just totally didn't understand what you said!  :D |
