SAN FRANCISCO Japantown EVENTS! (25-July to 01-Aug-2004)
The OBON Festival "WAS" on JULY 25th but the "LAST MINUTE" , the J-town comittee decided to move it to AUGUST 1st (the followig SUNDAY) - SO the OBON FESTIVAL is now AUGUST 1st - 11am-4pm
We (JDM THEORY) were concerned that so many people have the old flyer saying it's still JULY 25th and will show up to J-toen and there's nothing going on - SO we swindled a parking garage for a *FREE Car meet/showcase so that we can still offer something for everyone on the O.G. date....The last car meet we through in J-town drew over 450+ cars - It was in January called Funtion B4 Fashion--> It's on the 360 DVD "#10 THE STANDARD"
JULY 25th 10am-3pm
FUNCTION B4 FASHION - SUMMER GET TOGETHER
J-Town Parking Garage -->UNDER THE KABUKI THEATER on FILLMORE
*FREE CAR MEET/SHOWCASE
AUGUST 1st 11am-4pm
13th ANNUAL J-town OBON FESTIVAL/Carnival and CAR SHOW
Japantown STREET CLOSURE - Like the Cherry Blossom
*FREE ADMISSION to SPECTATE and enjoy the festival
$18 car pre-reg and $25 car reg at the gate the day of the event
POST St. closure from the MALL HOTEL to WEBSTER (HUGE!)
finding a parking spot in J-town during their huge event is almost impossible! Be aware! - Id you fund a spot in a parkign garage, you'll pay 410-$15 for the day and --> Be like most motorsport enthusiasts and pay $18 to pre-reg and park your car all day for people to enjoy your car! just a thought.............

Meet/caravan to the shows
Hey guys,
We're doing a meet up to caravan up to Japantown for any of you who want to roll up with us....so u San JOse, east bay, and tracy heads....
UNION CITY JOLLI BEE / KRISPY KREME

8:30am
the reason why it's so early is that we have to set - up and get good parking! Joinus and get nice parking spots! the meet starts at 10am and goes til 3pm

i was checking out that link for last years pics. The Skyline rear... if that came off an accord, i think i saw that car before. i was at a san leandro meet a few weeks ago. saw something very similar. I think JDM theory was there too....

at the san leadro meet. His car's paint job was fading. The paint on the trunk is also pretty uneven. Looks like he didn't sand. The interior was interesting. All white. THe best part was that it looked like it was stapled on. if anyone has a shot of his steering wheel and guage, you'd see.
ok. i don't want to completely disparage him. It still took time and effort. lol.
would it be super dumb if i put my car in the show and i only have an exhaust and rims?... what if i clean it up real nice!? haha

I don't get it. The January Meet N Greet was a great event, but this time it really really sucked and blew and whatever else you can say to bash the event. For me, I just had to treat it like a J-Town field trip to make myself feel better
