since i had hell of a time with woodtrim.com (same dammed company as florida woodtrim), i made my own simulated cf trim
kit. it actually looks better than that woodtrim.com sh't because
it does not bulge out from the panels like theirs. they say 'we use real carbon fiber', but yah, theirs dont match the door or any part of the car that great (i bought one, had a fight with them and fought to get my money back), missing the curvatures as
much as 5-10mm!!! plus the overall quality and
service was serious crap.

here's a pict of my home-made version. the simulated sheet was
purchased in japan at a hobby store in Akihabara. hope to get
some more of this sheet cause its probably the most real looking
one available. i used a heat gun to match the contour of the
door so that it will not peel off.

i just did the doors because i like the factory metallic finish on
the other trims around the vents, radio, etc. let me know
what you think. overall cost as like $5? hahaha :D

VERY nice. hell if you made one for me, i'd buy it. Does it just go right over stock? Or do you have to remove the plastic trim?

thanx guys. :D its just a decal, so no removing the trim.
just clean off the trim, drop the decal, heatgun it, kinda squeege
it with your fingers, and that's it. wont peel off unless you
purposefully scratch at it. :p

the hardest part about this is cutting the sheet exactly to
the pattern i made. hahahaha. yah, if i can get those sheets,
i can make more...but not sure how the heck im going to get
those sheets from Akihabara, Japan...

Very nice job. I made a fake carbonfiber hood for my RC Car once and all I did was to pring a picture of carbonfiber out on a sticker sheet and it looked great. The only problem is you need a good printer and a decent picture.

I've got a sheet of virgin Carbon Fiber and a good digicam, so if anybody needs a good shot of carbon fiber to print out, I can take one.

humm, it might turn out better if you scanned it. not sure..?

the CF sheet i used is film backed like the decal used
on the fuse coin holder that shows the fuse numbers. i think
if it was regular vinyl, it might get affected by heat during
the summer time. but again, it may not... never tried so dont
know.

my wife is planning to go to Japan in May, so will see if she
can pickup some then. :D
