OEM WRX spoiler to STi CF Wing change question

So I have an OEM WRX spoiler on my 2002. It was installed post factory, since there is still a brake light in the rear window. Good enough since the CF one doesn't have a light. I have the STi CF Wing en route to me.

My question is for those of you that did this swap. About the hole that is drilled for the Electrical wire that is used for the brake light in the OEM spoiler. Does this hole poke out or is it going to be under the lower covers? Am I going to need to get something to plug this hole?

I guess I should also mention I intended to do this install myself.. Big deal a couple of bolts right?

Thanks to anyone that can answer this question for me.

Colin

I can't quite say about the hole for the wire, but I can tell you that the STi CF spoiler fits the stock holes, no problem. Self-installation should be easy especially without drilling. But like fryrice says, it should be covered by the spoiler stand.

Ok guys thanks. I looked last night.. I am just scared the hole may poke out a bit from under the spoiler stands.. of course only because I have no idea how big they will actually be.

Well, if the wing stands don't cover the hole, you could always put up the wing for sale if you really can't stand the gap I know that's not the greatest piece of advice, but you mentioned that the CF wing's already en route. It should be fine though, I'd think.

Yeah.. I looked again and again. The hole for the electical wire is directly between the front and back holes... in a straight line. Man, that wing is taking forever to get here too.. heh
