im very pleased with the performance of mine....lots & lots more top end without sacraficing any low end...in fact my boost came on a few hundred rpm's faster with the new turbo... depending on your requirements its about as good a bang for the buck you'll find

What type of other mod's do you have on your car? Im also thinking of doing this up grade due to fact that I can still use the factory fuel system, also what is your max boost and at what rpm is it realized? Thanks in advance.

I also remeber seeing that iON performance is making a new upgrade for the stock turbo. Sounded like a pretty good deal as well, might be worth checking into.-James
Edit: I just did a little more reading on it. Cost is $799 plus core so it's a bit more than the FP but It uses only the stock exhaust housing and Wastegateand compressor housing, the rest is replaced, machined etc completely reworked by hand so they say. They were comparing it to the VF-30 with a faster spool.

Jack from iON was always very helpful when he answered my questions about their turbos. I encourage you to take the time to look at their products.
iirc, the products that will be release in January are Garrett conversion kits. You can always send an stock turbo to have it rebuilt.

blitz intake, fp turbo, performance tekniques 2.5" dp to cobb cat back w/ a custom test pipe (cat elim pipe) + aps tmic & cobb tuned unichip....making peak boost of about 16.8pis around 5500...i had solo @ cobb tune it with daily driver in mind...a little on the safer side of things in respect to the stock fuel system...i dig the **** out of the set up...but need more power...so injectors, uppipe & bigger turbo are in the works...still figureing out which turbo

If you wanna have fun with a stock turbo without spending alot, have it ported. A good place can do it very well, not too expensive, and noticeable difference. I ran 13.1@102.6 on a ported stocker.
good luck

Pete, where did you get your jammy ported? Was it local? How long was the down time, and how much money? Thanks.

I beleive Adam at Z1 (www.z1auto.com) has a good porting guy. I think he was charging $100-150 or so. He will match the turbine housing to the uppipe as I recall.
Adam is very good to deal with. Even though I've only dealt with him for ordering a couple of items, he has been very responsive and helpful all the time.
