We had a dyno day this Saturday with two customers that we performed STi short block swaps on. They were both '02 WRX's one a sedan and one a wagon.

The wagon: EJ257 block, AVO 320hp turbo, full turbo-back, intake, header, unichip, AVO topmount intercooler, STi pink injectors.

Results: 270hp @ wheels, 265lb/ft @ wheels

The sedan: EJ257 block, VF-39 turbo, turbo-back, intaks, GP moto equal-length header, unichip, AVO frontmount intercooler, STi pink injectors.

Results: 300hp @ wheels, 300lb/ft @ wheels

Obviously these cars will have to start looking for tranny solutions, but the power they are putting out right now is almost double of the stock WRX. both the cars had torque curves you could eat off of. Special thanks to Sean of GP Moto for an excellent job in tuning. I rode in the sedan after the tune and was amazed at the smooth-ness of the ride. No off-accel bucking, no studder, just smooth like my STi (only a little faster, but I'll fix that soon enough lol).

Just another great day at the Dyno.

Cheers,
Joel
