Question Suggestions/Deals on 14" All Season Tires in Bay Area??

Hi everyone,

My sis' Integra needs some new shoes, as the stock tires on her Integra are pretty worn. She's starting a new job next week, and it requires a daily, 50 mile commute. So, she needs a replacement set of tires ASAP.

The last time I bought tires was when I was still living in LA. There are TONS of places to get deals down there, but I'm clueless about the Bay Area scene.

Does anyone know of any good local shops/deals for a set of 14", all season tires?

Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

CL

thanks for the reply, jotarou1. =)

I do know about the CostCo deal. Only thing that's stopping me for jumping on it is that I don't really care for the Michelin All Seasons (MXV), which are the ones in my desired price range of under $80/tire. The MXV's did did come stock on my sis' 94 Integra when she got it new, but they're just about as bad as the Bridgestone RE-92's that come on the WRX. However, my sis doesn't drive that aggressively, so I guess either the MXV's or RE-92's will be fine for her.

Unless, someone else out there has better suggestions on specific brands/models and/or local deals for them, I'll likely head down to Costco in a few days.

dj,

thx for the reply, but care to elaborate?? what kind of tires & deal did you get? again, I'm looking for 14" all season (non performance oriented) tires for my sis' Integra.

not to sound ungrateful, but woodside is pretty far to drive for tires, unless they have really good deals. plus, that neck of the woods (no pun intended) is the high rent di$trict, ain't it?

bump for more suggestions and tire deals! sis' ride needs some new shoes w/in the next couple days!!

its more in redwood city, and they give good deals bc they are a small place owned by a chill guy... they are pretty cheap and they dont over charge at all for both labor or tires, plus they are very knowledgable(spelling) i could get you their number
650-363-0460 just say roger with the yellow wrx said that they were great and they should hook u up pretty well, they are on woodside road by el camino... if they are too far i am sure that you could find a closer place, but they are close to me, and they have always given me great deals on tires and stuff

America's Tire Co. is always a good idea. You can usually haggle with them as well, so don't accept your first quote. Costco is good too, but they usually only sell "upper-end" manufacturers. Cheaper tires can be had elsewhere, but they are lower class companies.

pep boys is another option. expecially their house brand tires.

once when i went 4 wheeling in the desert and ripped a sidewall, i found a payphone and dialed 1-800-pepboys and lucky me got their storefinder part.

i found 3 PB stores within 30 miles of where i was (barstow).

i loaded up the address in my laptop and found them on a mapping s/w. i went to the one closest to the the direction i was going.

i pulled into the PB parking lot around 3:30pm on a sunday afternoon. showed them my receipt with warranty. showed them the sliced tire. an hour later and $20 less, i was out with a brand new tire mounted...
