View Full Version : Who will be a mod here? Imprezer 01-14-2003, 11:41 PM Guys, figure out who will be your regional mod/forum leader. Discuss it amoung yourself and select someone. - Alex JCScoobyRS 01-16-2003, 10:00 AM Select ME. I do nothing all day but stay on my computer. I'm the IT Manager of my company and that's all I do. I will be your leader, just put me in the drivers seat. Mwuhhhaaahahahahaa. T-WRX450 01-23-2003, 01:37 PM Hello Everyone, This is Troy up at Flatirons and I would like to be be considered for the moderator in the Rocky Mountain Forum. I feel that I could offer quite a bit of technical and general support for our forum especially being in the most performance/ enthuastist friendly dealer in the region. I am also able to draw on information from JDM, Australian and Euro markets. I did live in Japan for three years and speak a fair amount of Japanese, which occassionally comes in handy. Thank you for your consideration, Troy Fankell JCScoobyRS 01-23-2003, 01:44 PM Troy, I met you on Tuesday when Bret was fixing my car. YOU ARE THE MAN! You also spawned me to do this. Since your post was resume type, I'll do the same: I think that I would be an asset to the forum. I'm constantly online and my knowledge of computer, programming and such could be used in many ways. I'm the IT Manager of my company and a Technology Consultant on the side. PICK ME!!!!! Later, J T-WRX450 01-23-2003, 03:07 PM Ok, you're right! Maybe since your first post was humorous then I'll do the same... Make me your moderator as I will make your Scooby the most tricked out hella fast beast in your hood because I am your local "speed-crack" dealer. I'll take care of your addiction and if you say that you don't have one you are living in denial... Cuz You Know You Want It! Troy JCScoobyRS 01-23-2003, 03:11 PM Troy, You are a freaking trip man. J JCScoobyRS 01-23-2003, 03:12 PM Troy, You'll win because no matter how many times I post, it still says that I've never posted before. The system is already against me. You aren't lying when you say: I will make your Scooby the most tricked out hella fast beast in your hood because I am your local "speed-crack" dealer. I'll take care of your addiction and if you say that you don't have one you are living in denial... Cuz You Know You Want It! Take care man, J T-WRX450 01-23-2003, 06:47 PM Yah We're Cool... Jeremy it was great meeting you and I hope we did provide the service you deserved for your car. Hope to see you again for all the speed-crack too. By the way everybody, the MRT demo was sold and is on the streets with Anthracite P1's so if you guys see him give him a thumbs up to welcome him to the family. Thanks! Troy I got 1 post, I got 1 post!!! Also, My next project is a Sonic Yellow Wagon - Prodrive Equipped JCScoobyRS 01-24-2003, 08:53 AM Discuss it amoung yourself and select someone. JCScoobyRS 01-24-2003, 02:04 PM I think we should vote!!!!! Hmmm, I think I'm gonna vote for JCScoobyRS. Punch box next to JCScoobyRS's name. JCScoobyRS - 1 T-WRX450 - 0 I voted. SubaruPlanetCom 01-24-2003, 07:35 PM A moderator should be on the board a lot to make sure people don't step out of line, and should be familiar with the posting rules here. But should be fair to the people and sensitive to their speech, and intevene only when absolutely needed as per the rules of the private BBS. I have been a moderator for over two years now, and would be happy to consider being one here too. I think it is always a good idea to have two moderators per forum, so if people want to vote for two, maybe Alex will consider that. Larry PS: I have a post count of 12 ;) T-WRX450 01-25-2003, 02:36 PM Larry, I know that you have several years on imprezars.com and the pre split i-club. I was there back in late 98 and I think we can appreciate what you have done for the club in the recent past but I believe also in being Moderator on 1 board is enough and I really do agree with the suggestion of comoderator as a sort of checks and balance system as well as reinforcement. Although, I am also a member of several Subaru owner clubs I only want to be a moderator on this one. I am on everyday usually several times a day, if that makes a difference?. Besides Larry what about this post... http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=59093#post59093 moving to HI?, I hope you are doing alright. I think a consensus should be drawn and people should nominate candidates then a vote taken (poll) about who shall be moderator or comoderators. Just a thought... Troy SubaruPlanetCom 01-25-2003, 09:49 PM If my wife could find work and health benefits, we'd like Hawaii, yes. I vote for T-WRX450, Me for co-moderator... mayonaise 01-26-2003, 09:04 AM And I vote for me! I have the most Subie enthusiasm, thats why I always get meets going. Nick C. SubeTek 01-26-2003, 01:01 PM I vote for Nick to run all the get togethers and to get the beer. disco 02-12-2003, 05:15 PM I vote for Troy. Haven't met you in person yet, but you were cool to me on the phone and so far the only performance parts guy who is capable of ordering a bottle of unifilter filer-fix oil for my Aussie filter that I have been trying to find for almost a year now!!! frustrated? who me? naw...haha! If you can do that, I'm sure you could handle this forum just fine. Thanks, -disco JCScoobyRS 02-13-2003, 08:17 AM I see that Troy has brought another over to the dark side with his nifty knowledge. Must devise a plan for i-club moderator domination. Hmmm, be back later. Holla, J impreza7 02-15-2003, 02:30 PM As the most senior i-club member here, I vote for Troy, and that's it. HAHAHAHAHAHAHa. J/K. It doesn't really matter, I just want to get in his good graces so he'll get me discount parts. Troy, you know how to get ahold of Joe from JCSPORTS? I've known him since he worked out of his garage, and we lost touch when I moved to Fort Collins. You guys ever come up to Fort Collins, stop by Nice Car Automotive and hit me up. Brian -7- T-WRX450 02-15-2003, 05:41 PM Brian, JC Sports Joe is now at Mike Shaw Subaru on 104th in Denver and the latest incarnation of JC Sports is PDM Turbos. By the way, You guys at Nice Car get about the best prices that I can do, when I can get the parts in a reasonable amount of time that is. It is not really about good graces though... Same stuff, right? Thanks for the info. Troy, and yeah, you guys do give us good prices. You guys should check out RKPerformance.com, Ryan's distributing PDM now... 7 JCScoobyRS 02-17-2003, 08:13 AM I gracefully drop out of the mod race here. I too will vote for Troy. Holla, J SubaruPlanetCom 02-17-2003, 10:41 AM Troy mod, Ganz co-mod T-WRX450 02-18-2003, 01:14 PM Larry, I wasn't trying to ruin it for PDM as I think their new products are tremendous for build quality and I think the guys there are good people. Unfortunate circumstances happen to good people. I actually recommend them to people for some things. I was just saying the facts, nothing more. Disco, I am working on the filter oil in any size... Thanks for the votes everyone, especially J. Are you sure you don't want a recount? My plan for world moderator domination has begun... wwwhahahahaaaaa. Troy |
