Bagin,DVS 05-26-2004, 07:52 PM you may be just effed, in that department, the plasssstic in these cars scratches so easily, do what i do do not wipe it off, use one of those california suters, they seem to work well. and get that meguiers dash stuff to wipe on it then to brighten it up. but do not put it on the extreme top of the dash if it is shiny it reflects the sun like a *****. SlickmisterN 05-27-2004, 08:03 AM Im actually talking about the "guage console" clear plastic to view the gauges. I dont know the proper term for it though. super_mut 05-27-2004, 08:21 AM OEM replacement from a dealer or online? gatchie 05-27-2004, 08:51 AM You can use Meguiars plastic scratch remover followed by plastic polish. These are sold in your local auto supply. Sorry I can't remember their numbers. wrxfanboy 05-27-2004, 02:21 PM Same thing happened to my gauge cluster and I got it pretty clean with Meguiars plastic scratch remover. Next time FYI, use a swiffer duster which was suggested to me and it works like a charm. No contact really just attracts the dust to the brush and voila. Two screws at the top will remove it and you can work on it a lot easier also just in case you were wondering. Good luck and it does take some time. SlickmisterN 05-28-2004, 07:26 PM thank you all very much, I will try the mcguires stuff and failing that I will use this new 3m plastic polish a friend told me about. |
