Can anyone confirm the rumor that the bolt pattern has changed, and more specifically, has the offset changed? Meaning, can a 05 STi owner bolt up wheels from a Evo or FD w/ out rubbing? (Those cars don't need as much offset as our Scoobies.)

Altough, I am not really sure about the offset. It is safe to say that it is between 47 to 51. Evos need an offset in the area of 33 to 40. So Evo wheels will still not work altough they share the same bolt pattern

Hey, do you guys know if there's going to be a mark up on the 05 sti's? sorry such a n00b question

The Bolt pattern has changed on the BBS wheel. It is officially a 5x114.3 now. It still retains the 53mm offset of the wheel and it now has STi molded in two places between the spokes of the wheel. It is a 17x8 as I have seen and already test driven one. There are many other changes to the rear parallel links. They are now aluminum links which lighten things up the rear a bit.

Man I love the 04 so much on the interior but the 05 had more cup holders on the back and the front, and It's going to be the same HP on the new one too.

I love my new 04 WRX, I have the Premium package but I'll love to have the STI.

hey, i'm not sure if this has been answered anywhere, i just joined this club, but are the "regular" 2005 wrx's also gonna have the new radio and climate controls like this STi? are there any other changes between '04 and '05 for the wrx? i'm just curious b/c i'm picking up a new '04 wrx on thrusday (java) and want to know if my good deal on the price was worth it, or if i should have waited a month for an '05.

i must say the 05 sti looks friggin awesome. my local dealership just got a crystal grey one...i thought it was just a 04 but when the salesman told me it was a 05 my jaw dropped, it looks awesome!! even though it does look alot like the 04...i think

I love my 04 WRX with premium pacakage but I have see the 04 STI since my father in law have it. But I was thinking on the new STI to change my for the new one but not sure yet.

the 2005 wrx is now on the subaru website (so is the legacy), and it too has the revamped interior. it now has the three-spoke steering wheel (which personally i don't think looks as good in the wrx). also, if you look at some of the pics there, the wrx muffler only has one exhaust outlet. although the center console looks must cleaner, i'm not the biggest fan. i like the little spot in front of the ash tray where i can put my cell phone and not have it flying around the car while i drive. also, the lighter outlet is now hidden, not optimum for radar detectors. btw, i picked up my java black '04 last thrusday and i absolutely love it!

I love my 04 WRX Premuim Pacakage, but my father in law has his 04 STI too and I love the more power, just wondering if the price of the 04 STI will the same as the 05 STI.

BOO to 05 sti.
the suspension is NOT the same. not as stiff as the 04, you will feel the difference the second you drive start it up. other than that and the interier, i think its pretty much the same. i think its cheaper than the 04 as well. but IMO i dont like the way they drive compared to the 04's... its more "practical" i guess.

oh yeah man, the 04 wrx as the best interior by far. i dont like the sti seats at all.just my opinion
