Question STi Hood Scoop

Ok.. when I bought my '04 WRX I asked the dealer to throw in a STi hood scoop. Well, they did. Painted and all for free. The reason for getting it was I like the look and also for future i/c upgrade that I will be doing. It also helps cool the i/c and engine bay a little better.

My question is.... Does any of the STi owners notice at high speeds that the hood scoop "flaps" up and down? It is not drastic, I just notice it on windy days and driving at high speeds. It is bolted down correctly it's just the hood flexes. I know the hood is alumn. and it is a little more flimsey then a standard steel hood. Let me know if this happens to you???

Thanks

just make sure not to go 130+ mph. . . it will fly off-just got mine replaced....

i'm kidding actually there are quite enough bolts to hold it in place. the more flexible it is the better. allows flex so there is less stress on the hood.

it doesnt really flap that much. you can see that it moves around a little bit but not enough to bother you.
