I wanted to create a thread about this to see if I could figure out some of the Sac State suby drivers. A few of the cars I've seen around campus recently...
00-01 RS 2 door, blue ridge pearl, with a red white and blue SPT sticker on the drivers side rear window. I've seen this guy driving to and from school many times, but havn't chatted with him yet.
99 RS (2 door), rally blue with a version 5 wing. I see this one parked in the union parking garage on the ground floor a lot.
04 WRX, blue. Only one I've seen around.
Feel free to post more, and put some names to cars :)

Sure. Honorary student you are :) I KNOW there are many Suby owners who go there. I've seen plenty of modded cars... WHO ARE YOU!?

Haha. Expect the suby count to be tripled by then. Still not a damn one who will acknowledge their existance though. I was just talkin to a friend and she said she knows the guy who drives an RS I see all the time on campus. One down?

Look out for my friend Jason, he drives a silver '02 WRX sedan. His car has stock wheels painted black, headlight mod and MBC. I know he joined the i-club site but I'm not sure what his handle is on here.

Wow.... I can honestly say that the whole time I went to Sac State I never saw a Suby, weird, but I wish I would have!
Maybe the fact that I started class at like 7:30 in the morning and was there until like 8 every night has something to do with it.
Go Hornets!

Miranda, when did you go there? Where you goin now? I see plenty of subys, but as you can tell, none of them seem to be car club members, haha.
Edit: 7:30 to 8:00 is crazy! What was your major!!!

I went there for Fall 2002 and Spring 2003 and Im listed as a Kinesiology major but I was goning to change it to Market8ing before I decided not to go back. I was also in Gamma Phi Beta!! and the only reason those are crazy times is because people get there to try and avoid fighting for a parking spot! Luckily I lived VERY close to campus!! And I am not anywhere yet. I have no idea where I want to transfer to yet!
I wish I would have known about all this subie stuff before when I was there, it would have been way fun!

I will never go back to Sac State... I am set on that. While I love Sacramento and I think Sac State is a good school I have too many bady memories and too much history there. I just dont fit anymore. I grew up in Elk Grove and then moved to the bay during HS and people from my past didnt change and I did. Me leaving the school had everything to do with escaping the people I use to know, so I am determined to not have to return. But if I am ever in Sac I will have to make sure its on a day there is a meet. I love Sac though, great city!

I can understand that. I don't think Salinas would have been my first choice to escape to, but at least you're not in the bay area, haha :p
Spotted yesterday: Black STi, parked 1 car over from me. Anyone know whose this is?

I think the purpose of this thread is for sightings of subies at Sac State. You can show up at one of the local meets to introduce yourself. We've already seen your posts about your boost solenoid. ;)
Here is the main sighting thread (http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55333) where you can post sightings of other subies around town (Sac, Roseville, Folsom, Elk Grove, etc.).

Hopefully I'll be there in a semester or two, I've been slacking off so much at JC. How is the parking situation in general there?

Depends on the time of day you choose to have class.
Most Sac State students are lazy (IMO) and thus the best parking is early or late.
If you're going to have class all day, have your first class be NO LATER than 8am (so take a 7:30am or an 8:00am class). Most Sac State students take 9am classes so they don't start really showing up in force till 8:30 or so. You'll get choice parking for the whole day if you show up before 8.
If you're going to take one class and you don't want to get there early, take an evening class - 4:30pm or later. Again, most Sac State students are lazy so they're cutting out by 4pm or so and you can find parking easily after 4. Also, I think at 4:30 you can start parking in the faculty lots (though not in the faculty portion of the garage on the backside of campus though) without a faculty permit. Check the times though before you go parking in faculty spots otherwise you might get a ticket :)
I never have problems with parking if I do the above. And I can always find a spot on the end of an isle or where no one parks next to me and I avoid the door dings :)

Ya, after 4:30 you can park anywhere with a student parking permit.
Also, after 11am, you can park in the carpool spots, thats a little known piece of info ;)
Plus, if you DO have to get to school around 8:30-10am, there is a "secret" parking lot across J street from the campus entrance by the Fire Dept. building that doesnt fill up until 10am or so.

I am an alumni, does that count? heh
I haven't been there in over a year however, when i was going I had my 99 red OBS, there were a lot of subies there even when I went. I could never get over the WRB Sti that would park in between a cadilac and a old beat up truck.... I could never do it with a new car, I would show up a whole lot earlier and get an end spot. (which i always did with the OBS even though it was used)
