I used my stock BBS rims (from my STi) for the winter and when they balanced my tires/wheels they put the weights on the lip, is that going to damage my rims/should that be there (or should they have used the "sticky" weights)?

At the very least it looks ugly. It might take some finish off, since thewy usually hammer them on.
