Can anyone recomend a decent looking, but inexpensive replacement side skirt that would come painted for a '04? I am looking for something that is slightly thicker than the stocker.

Yes, sideskirts for the sedan work for the wagon too.
Also, the site you want is www.subaruparts.com

yeah no kidding... Perhaps just getting the stockers painted is the way to go.

That's what I'm doing to mine. I've known people to have body shops do 'em for 100 to 150 bucks. A friend gave me his stock skirts, so I'm trying to paint them myself. I ordered primer, paint and clear from paintscratch.com (with flex agent added) for about 60 bucks. I sanded them a bit with 400 grit and they are waiting to be primered, just haven't got to it yet. If it comes out crappy I'll sand them down again and have a local shop do it, already have a recommeded guy to go to. Figured it'd be fun to try myself first.

We did a BAIC group buy a few months ago -- $80 per set. If you want more flash on your stockers, you can also add side strakes or (super-rare) JDM side air dams. Or you're rich and resourceful, both for a super mean look :D

Only $80 for painted side skirts??? Now that IS a deal. Wish i were around for that group buy. :(

You could try to arrange it yourself with a local shop. We had 30-odd cars for that deal  :D

Choku, you said the magic word: "rare".

I could go searching all over hell's half acre to find those air dams, but I'm sure you already know where to get them.

Oh, and my Trust seatbelt pads are finally in the mail, took me 2 months to find a set:)

Nice work hashiriya!
As for the side air dams, I'm not 100% sure of a good source for them... you can try pm'ing porkchop; he has a set :D

I think the STi sideskirts look really thin. I dont like the STi sideskirts IMO. If they were a big longer, vertically, i think it would look sweet

hey.....does anyone know if www.subaruwrxparts.com sells the sti sideskirts in san remo red. It's kinda weird that they only have listed the spoiler in san remo red but no other parts. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is this because the STI doesn't come in this color?

Thanks

Dealer's trying to rip you off. Should be about $200-something for a pair, if I recall correctly.
As for not finding it on the site, apologies -- I assumed that they'd have it :o
