I have about 3-5 in mind. 512 mb at the least because i want a lot of songs on it....512 can hold about 120 ish correct?

I'm going to get the mp3 player off of bestbuy.com because i have a voucher for 70.00$ that I would like to use.

My choices so far are:

Mini i-Pod - 4 GB W/ 40$ attachment for radio(I think)

MPIO - 512MB Digital Audio Player with FM Radio -FM radio/recorder and voice recorder
512MB memory; works as a USB portable storage device

iRiver - 512MB Digital Audio Player -Built-in FM tuner with FM recording; integrated voice recorder

and *Maybeeee* this: MPIO - 256MB Digital Audio Player with FM Radio

I'd prefer an FM tuner(paying an extra 40$ is stupid IMO-ipod add on) and The iRiver one has that along with a feature that lets me record from the radio and also voice record.

Edit: The MPIO also has that feature along with a portable storage device so maybe that would be better?

Again, about how many songs could 512 mg hold? Is it really worth getting 1+ GB? I mean, I use my computer a lot so i can just delete old songs and add new ones to the mp3 player, right? As you can tell I'm confused as hell. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Edit: Link to page: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=pcmcat10200050002&type=category&parentCatID=null&initialize=false&initialize=true&_requestid=99420 < Sort by price and then go to page 2.

Well I was kind of trying not to go above $250 and I wanted an FM tuner. I talked to MonkeyAB (thanks man!) and I think the MPIO 512MB is probably the best for the money. Thanks for the help everyone.

i recently just got an iPod mini, holds all of my music, and is looks so sweet. if you have the cash, most definetely go for the mini. hold about 1000 songs, and that is enough for most people.

the ipod is smart that way tho. it will automatically nike songs you don't listen to, and replace them with ther most recently played or most high rated.

Dude if you invested that $250 for the next two years, it will be well over $270.

I thought you had your Subie priorities right....oh well...

lol actually im planning on finding a couple jobs and working my ass off this summer to save up for the car...maybe a swap into my dads 98 legacy outback wagon...<<<true sleeper!

anyway, I got the MPIO 512 MB w/ FM tuner & Recording. Seems really cool so far. If i decrease song quality i can fit so many songs on it. Can barely tell the difference too (so far). Works well with windows media player except ive only been playing with it for 20 minutes so its a bit confusing to use and it froze once or twice.
