I have been in a stage of infinite waiting to get the car of my desires...

The WRX STi has everything I want from a stock Engine/Drive train perspective but it is just a little too small for my needs.

The new 05 legacy is by far the best looking Subaru of the line up and even is the right size; unfortunately the engine/drive train offered does not do it for me.

I was wondering if anyone had any details on if is possible to take Engine/Drive train from the WRX STi and put it in the 05 legacy.

If anyone has any knowledge of what it might take or what shop in Cali that would be good at something.

Basically I want everything to be CARB friendly.

I would suggest speaking to Adam Levy of LIC Motorsports, he can help you out with what you're looking for....or he can at least tell you what can or can't be done.

I have let him know that you will be calling or emailing him. I assume that you know how much money you are looking at getting into!!! I can assure you that Adam is probably one of the only people that could do that swap and do it correctly (CARB) friendly as you put it.
