I have a question for those who know about seats. I am interested in a comfortable seat that would fit into an STI. I sat in the new Sti and the seats just seemed like they were lacking things. I guess i could buy a lumbar support pillow thing. But the seats just seem so unforgiving.

But is there something else I can do? I have heard great things about the V7 and spec C seats... but are they comfortable? I want something that is soft and cumfy. Yes i know its a sports car but it will also be my everyday car... Has anyone put seats from other cars into the STI? Would they fit?

Seats from any other Impreza (02+ for sure and probably even per-WRX, but I'm not sure) seats should bolt right in.

JDM seats offer more support; lumbar and side support mainly. The USDM seats are a little wider because Americans are generally wider then Japanese. This will be stiffer, so I don't think they really fall into "soft and comfy."

If you want softer seats, with less rigidity, perhaps you could find someone selling RS or WRX seats. But, to see if they are to your comfort level, maybe you should swing by a dealership and sit in a few seats (they could probably also order you some seats, but that would cost much more then a private party selling takeoffs).
