How much for a set of Rota Torques with Kumho MX 235/45/17 shipped?

suby_dude
03-31-2004, 01:45 AM
ALBOWRX - the 235/45/17 will be too big for WRX's. What you would want is the 235/40/17 or 225/45/17.

Unfortunatly the MX's do not come in 235/40/17 so here are your other options:

235/40/17 YOKO ES 100s
235/40/17 KUMHO 712
235/40/17 FALKEN ST115

or

225/45/17 Kumho 711
225/45/17 Kumho 712
225/45/17 Faken Azeni Sport
225/45/17 Falken ZIEK 512
225/45/17 KUMHO MX
225/45/17 Yoko AVS ES100s

I will send you a PM with all the prices for those.

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Are you intersted in the 8" wide torques with 235's, 8" wide torques with 225's, 7.5" wide torques with 225's, or 7.5" torques with 215's?

I'd like to purchase a set of Rota Torques for my 2003 WRX wagon but I do have a few concerns. My wagon is lowered w/H&R springs so its aproximatly a 2" drop all around. I'm planning to get the 17x7.5s and I was wondering what would the recommended tire size be?
For tires, since winter is on its way, I'd like to go with the all season Falken Ziex ZE-512, and of course a set of lugs. What would the total cost be? I'm in the San Jose area so I will be picking these up.

I sent an email, but I figured asking in here may help others as wel.

I already have tires from a previous car, 225/40/18 Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S. Will +48 be enough to keep me from rubbing if I go with the 18x7.5 +48 Royal Black Subzeros from you guys? I have an 05 Wagon and I'd really like to use the tires I already have as they have less than 1000 miles on them, and I loved the tires on my accord v6.

They may or may not rub, its hit or miss depending on the tire.

Its nothing some minor fender rolling won't fix though.

I'm interested in the Torques in 17x8 gunmetallic. I'd like to do a wheel and tire package but not sure on which type of tire I should go with. I would like some performance tires but I can't go all out since theres still the chance of snow and severe rain here in Colorado. Would 235/40/17 be the best size choice? I need lugs also so if you could PM or post what it would be shipped to 81504 that would be nice.

Can you get the falken 512's in 215/45/17? I've got a lowered GF wagon, so I don't want to chance the 225s rubbing... (unless someone can assure me they wont)

Anyway, If you can get them, how much to mount/balance on a set of bronze 17x7.5 torques (incl. shipping)?

Thanks

with 215's you should be ok.

Unfortuantly we do not have bronze torques @ this time, any other style you might be intersted in?

We have gold torques in that size if those interest you.

It depends on how low your car is and what size tire you run. Most people don't rub with a 17x8 +48 rim with a 235/40/17 tire. I would only worry abou rubbing if your car is really low.

MIKE

you can run 225's. I do. I'm on V8 Spec C and it's pretty low in the back. No rub.

Plus that's a thin tire. I run it. Great in the rain/snow..etc. Sucks otherwise. I hate it on spirited driving and wouldn't touch a track with it.

Cross section is something like 8.6 or so on the 225's.

If you want to be safe...run a 215 you DEFINATELY will not rub with the 215.

That drop looks great! I think you should be fine since the rim is a +48 offset. Zoeb is running 17x8 w/ a 235/40 tire and his car is about the same ride height and he doesn't rub.
