Oh and a Link2 here in the next month. Got it sitting around waiting for me to move back to the US and install it. Upgrades? Holy crap mang, you must be going through gearsets like BFG Radial T/A's on a pony car. What do you estimate your bhp at? N/A 11-24-2002, 04:23 AM gearsets? I'd never own a M/T Subaru. Its a RS-T A/T. I knew a long time ago about the durability of the Subaru M/T. Kevin M 11-24-2002, 05:12 AM Originally posted by N/A gearsets? I'd never own a M/T Subaru. Its a RS-T A/T. Just don't feel like I'm not really driving without a clutch pedal. Driving fast with an automatic is almost like using a remote control car to me. It's "faster, slower. left, right" in my mind instead of things like "little more throttle to settle the rear end" and "blip-downshift to second to get more bite up front." Just ain't the same. Poop on reliability. DoctorNick 11-24-2002, 01:50 PM Originally posted by BAN SUVS :monkey: to the slushboxes. Sorry, I am incredibly biased on this one, and I don't really know why. I believe they are doing quite well in the us pro rally open class. can we say 500 hp 22b fendered automatic running with all of those 6 speeders Kevin M 11-24-2002, 04:54 PM Originally posted by DoctorNick lol, contact john ryther at rally knight about that. I told him I couldn't really spout numbers to prove superiority of sticks, it is just a mental thing. I hate gadgets that allow us to be less in control of our vehicles. Automatics contribute to the mentality that we don't have to give 100% of our mental resources to the task of everyday driving. N/A 11-24-2002, 11:40 PM I'm not a fan of the A/T either but I knew going into the Subaru world that the M/T is a POS. Best way to avoid a broken M/T is to not buy a M/T car. I loved the close ratio M/T that came in my GTI-R. harvey 11-26-2002, 06:24 PM Hey Bill: Could we be related??? Aspen 11-26-2002, 11:23 PM I guess I'm a bit late... Arcanum 11-26-2002, 11:45 PM D'oh. I'm really late. Manuals are were it's at. /\rcanum stealth-wrx 11-27-2002, 12:20 AM hello arcanum my fellow post whorer. Kevin M 11-27-2002, 12:22 AM Hey, no whoring the tech threads...(marks another notch on mousepad...) N/A 11-27-2002, 04:48 AM I'm not trying to whore the Tech sections. They are just the only sections that I like to read. |
