I have one of these (and paid slightly more than this price....DOH!). Looks REALLY nice, OEM really.
In short, this is the dead pedal that Subaru SHOULD have installed from the factory!

No, it is not just drilled holes.
My dead pedal comes with a rubber backing to match the other pedals and to allow various installation options. The rubber backing does not protrude through the holes, but it does however make the pedal look very nice.
Thanks!
Lev.

No rubber bumps just holes. Since it's just to rest your foot on and not move a pedal around I'm not sure they are needed though.
I like mine:

Thanks for reply, Peaty!
You are absolutely corect! The dead pedal does not need the rubber nubs. In fact, I have heard from my customers that they prefer my design after trying the ones with rubber nubs. My design holds your foot securely, but also allows you to adjust your foot position without having to lift if off the foot rest, so it is both secure and comfortable.
If you think about it, the stock dead pedal was made out of plastic. Even though it had no rubber your foot was not sliding around.
My pedal, beside providing a great cosmetic match, also generates just the right amount of grip to hold your foot securely. The holes do serve a purpose other than cosmetics. They, in conjustion with brushed finish, provide a friction surface for your rubber shoe sole.
If you put rubber nubs on this pedal it will provide a little bit too much grip and will feel uncomfortable.
I have been using my own dead pedal in my car for roughly 7 months and I love the way it feels, looks, and works! Plus, my price is very affordable ($35 shipped!) and I guarantee your satisfaction!
Thanks for your interest!
