tires sizes other than 205 55 16 on the stock wrx wheels
what other sizes can u fit on the stock 16 in wrx wheels? im thinking of getting drag radials but BFG or Nitto dont make em in 205 55 16.
Using 225/50/16. Yokohama db2's. Fits Fine. No rubbing issues at all on MY02. Bulges a little. Prepare to lose gas milage. Odometer readings are not off with 225/50/16's.

I'm running 225/50/16 also. Bridgestone Potenza RE750's; night and day difference for the better versus the stock bicycle tires
I'm on stock suspension, no issues whatsoever. And I kinda like the bulge look.
My mileage isn't all that much worse, but then again it's always been crappy

I Have 225/50/16 RE 950s on my wagon & I have had no problems at all. (Although I think that I might be getting worse mileage...

I would have to say Yes. Because I switched. From 205/55/16 -> 225/50/16. I dont think my driving style has changed. Stock suspension and settings except a brake kit. Losing 50 miles somehow. Dexter said in a previous post it was probably because of my increased confidenence and performance in my tires
After a lengthly discussion, guaranteed the odometer is not off from switching 205/55/16 -> 225/50/16.

Going from the stock 205/55/16's to 225/50/16's will cause you to be driving at 64.95mph while your speedo says 65mph.
I have had no problems moving to this size tire on stock wheels.
Don't trust my math...

for a good way to calculate the differences between tire sizes.

64.95 mph or 65.05 mph is so minor on the speedometer. Thats almost negligable when staring at the speed gauges on your dash. A person has to have a really good foot to be going "exactly" at 65 mph.
Yeah... my foot is usually somewhere in the 70 - 80mph range
Seriously though, even a couple of mph off is not really noticable... but the 225/50's were the closest I could find to a wider tire with almost the same diameter.
